After a month in waiting, I am so excited to finally share with you the Berry Sweet Strawberry Party! You may have seen the party featured on Amy Atlas Event’s blog Sweet Designs last week. I’ve also received news that it will be featured on another widely loved party blog in the next two weeks. Very exciting! I’ll keep you posted on facebook about that feature.
A little bit about the party – this party was styled for our new strawberry printable collection. Our super talented photographer, Jennifer of Jennifer Schattle Photography, captured all the gorgeous images. Strawberry themed parties have always been a favorite of mine probably since my very own Strawberry Shortcake 3rd birthday party in the early 80′s, and with Spring almost here, I thought it would be a perfect time to share a fresh take on the classic strawberries. I used burlap and lace with a mix of reds, neutrals, and pops of aqua blue to carry out the theme. Ellah was our model and happy to be the taste tester too! Here are my favorite photos from the shoot.Ellah is sampling the strawberry Italian sodas, which she loved, and the beautiful cake that her daddy made! Yum!This is absolutely one of my favorite photos. I love that my husband made the cake, and I love the picture frame around the cake! And the pops of red…love!
The next photos below show our strawberry printable collection pieces like the cupcake toppers, buffet labels, and large patterned banner. The collection comes in three colors too – blue, pink or green!I wanted to do something just a little different, so I made strawberry marshmallow pops instead of the traditional cake pops. I loved how they turned out!Things I love here – the potted tulips covered in burlap and the buffet label in the tulip pot! I wanted something tall like the tulips to display the buffet label, so I used a bamboo skewer to do the trick. These strawberry Italian sodas were so delish! I’ll be sharing the recipe I used to make them soon. These cookies are one of my very favorite things about the party. When I spotted these stained glass strawberry cookies from The Wacky Cookie Company, I was immediately smitten. The unique, translucent strawberry candy centers shaped like a strawberry sold me. Look how gorgeous they are!Mmmmm, strawberry crumble parfaits. I had the idea to create a deconstructed version of dirt cake, which all children love, to make the parfaits. It. was. a. hit. Amazing. They are so good that I’ll be using the recipe to create other versions for upcoming parties. My kids were so wild about these parfaits that I let them eat some for breakfast…and maybe I did too.I used my strawberry digital paper from my Strawberry Fields digital paper collection sold over at hello love too to create all of my Berry Sweet Strawberry printables!Derinda from Emmalee’s Boutique was so kind to send Ellah a chunky bead necklace, bracelet, and hair accessories over for the party. I’ve been a customer for a few years now, and Emmalee’s Boutique is my favorite place to shop hair and jewelry for Ellah. Seriously. She makes the cutest accessories for the best prices I’ve seen, and her customer service and shipping are superior. Not to mention, she loves sales and giveaways!
Do you see those precious felt strawberries in the basket? Alanna of the Flutter Berry Studio was also kind to donate her felt strawberries for the shoot. They added the perfect amount of play to our party! Flutter Berry Studio is another favorite of mine with their awesome felt toys and gorgeous little girl aprons!I’ll end with this little cutie. This is my single favorite photo of the entire shoot. Great job, Jen! You know how to steal a mom’s heart.
